South Australia may finally be seeing a reversal of its historically problematic ‘brain drain’ (the loss of its best and most talented to other states and even other parts of the world). South Australia’s COVID-19 response has, so far, been incredibly successful in keeping its population both healthy and free; free to work and play!  In addition, lower rates of unemployment and increasing confidence in South Australia’s economy teamed with new opportunities in the defence, space, and creative sectors, have made South Australia the place to be, resulting in a net population increase. With breathtaking beaches, hike-able hills and some of the best vineyards in the world, all within half an hour of a thriving city brimming with fabulous coffee and incredible international cuisine, the hidden gem that is Adelaide may not be so secret anymore!
